Thank you so much for this – have been looking for a short-wrap back carry for my 22lb 7 month old!!!! You make it look so easy. Will try it later. Your LO is beautiful BTW!

wow I want to do this sooo bad!! you think it would be safe for a 3 month old

tooralei @ 3:22 pm #

I think this carry would be better for an older baby, one who can sit up unassisted. If you have a short wrap and a young baby, I would try a knotless ruck. I do it with the same size wrap as I used in this video. I can’t add a link in this comment though, so I can’t link a video!

If you search on youtube for “knotless ruck” the tutorial by Andrea Wan is good. :-)

is this a size 2?

tooralei @ 7:20 pm #

Yes, it’s a size 2. It’s a little longish though–2.9m. I think I would be more comfortable using a size3 for this carry but I don’t have a 3.

Your tutorials are all great thank you for sharing them. Your toddler makes me laugh every video for one reason or another whether it be candy bribes or giggles during the superman swing :-) x

Thanks, that’s so sweet of you! I love watching the old videos and remembering how funny she was at certain ages. That was definitely an unexpected benefit of making videos with her over the years. :)

Is there a hip/front version of this carry?

May 1, 2013

tooralei @ 10:40 am #

Hi! Yes, there is, and I love it! The front version is called Front Reinforced Torso Rebozo, and the hip version is called Hip Reinforced Torso Rebozo. I can’t link to another video in the comments, but if you search youtube for “denimmeitai” and “front reinforced torso rebozo” you should get her video. Denimmeitai is the woman who invented these carries. :)
